Freedom

Her heart never lusted for what they called "freedom", she was content to stay at home and dream her life away. Though with each passing hour and tick of the clock, she found it harder to concentrate, harder to focus and wanted to get out, get free from everything.

She knew she couldn't though just yet, she anxiety and other heavy emotions were still weighing her down. But she longed to run barefoot along the cliffs that lined the sea, hair blowing in the gusty wind that sweeped up from the ocean, to smell the ocean breeze, feel it wrap around her, to let her thoughts blow away with them.

To be able to sit and draw where ever she pleased, to have the time to create when she wanted without having to worry about constraints, about anxieties, about reality, these thoughts crossed her mind as her reality came crashing back reminding her of the chains she so willingly chose.

But out there, just a sliver of hope glimmered reminding her it was all still possible, a twinkle of what could be - it wasn't ever lost or gone, she knew it was out there.

She just had to find it.
