Hell hath no fury
I'm juggling two productions now, Crazy Christmas( opening tomorrow till Dec 9 at the Drama Center) and Lord of the Flies, which opens a few days after Crazy Christmas, which means I'm rehearsing full days while performing in the concert. It's pretty crazy for someone like me, who usually don't take on two productions at once, and now I remember why! I'm enjoying it as much as I can, and trying to structure my days and nights accordingly, and while I've tried to have fun in between, it does look like I'll have to hold off the fun until one or both productions are over. Famous last words, I know. Anyway, there's always Boracay to look forward to.
In the meantime, I wanna grouse about a couple of things which are threatening to seriously FUCK UP my life. One is the DVD player on my MacBook. It won't play most of the DVDs I want it to! Most of these are code 0( opera or concert programmes) but some movies won't play either( code 1, which is what I've set the player to). It's seriously getting on my nerves since they used to play fine before. The Apple people are NO HELP at all. All they do is ask you to purchase APPLECARE for $400 before they will give you any serious help. So I guess I'll have to bring it down to the shop where I'm sure they charge me something just to say hello. Grrr.... I think I'm gonna get a Dell.
The other thing that gets my goat is town council. They wanna charge me $54 a month for service and conservancy! I used to pay $36.50 like all Singaporeans but now because I share the flat with my brother( who already owns a flat in Punggol with his wife) they think I shouldn't get the Singaporean rate. They even have the fucking cheek to ask me over the phone if I were Singaporean! Don't they have records? Or computers? IDIOTS! Now they're threatening to sue me if I don't pay. MOTHERFUCKERS!
