It's that time again. When did this tradition begin anyway? I guess it began when they started putting computer terminals in airport terminals and let people log on for free. So I'm off to Taipei, again, although I can't remember when was the last time I was there. If you read my earlier post, rest assured that I will have fun. How can I not? Taipei has always been a fun city for me, not least because I get to speak Mandarin there like I don't in Singapore. I wish it was cold there, but apparently, it's hotter than Singapore. No winter clothes, and no hot springs, but maybe we can go to the beach. "We" being Jermyn Toh who will join me on Thursday. We then check into a hotel called Hondo, which doesn't sound promising, I know, but we're in the Japanese room, so hopefully it'll be ok. Not that we'll be in the room much. Actually, we might be. I'm looking forward to Wonderland at Jump( formerly AXD). It's been a while since my last big party, and my credentials as a circuit boy are in need of a boost.
I can't believe how quickly we were done with the show this morning. I woke up at 6am after about an hour of sleep, got to the Shangri-La by 7, did the show at 8.30 and was out of there by 8.36.
So here I am at the airport, way early. But I figured I'll walk around, get something to eat, buy some duty free, post to livejournal, etc...
I'd better hurry, though. They only give me 15 minutes on this thing. But I feel like rambling. This could be my last post for a week...
Let's see. I've got Virginia Woolf's Orlando that I borrowed from the library. Also bought two DVDs to watch on my MacBook. Beverly Sills: Made in America( she just died not too long ago) and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau late in his career singing Die Schone Mullerin. That should keep me occupied. How long is the flight again? Whatever happens, I'm not going to watch a movie on one of those players on the plane.
Ok lah. Better go. Taipei, here I come! See ya, suckers!
