In no particular order:
X-Factor
I'm a little behind on my comics, but Peter David's return to X-Factor makes me very happy. His recent Maddrox mini really got me enthused for this. PAD has a talent for bringing added dimensions to established characters. Oh yeah, and teh funneh. His take on Rictor is interesting. Any comic with Rahne Sinclair is a pretty good one. Haven't read issue 2 yet; my store was out.
Elfquest: The Discovery
While we're on the subject of returns, Wendy Pini finally wrote a new Elfquest story. Ok, she wrote one that as far as I know is only available in hardcover, so I haven't splurged on it yet. I tried to read the summary of what had happened in the series since I stopped reading it (sometime around Kings of the Broken Wheel) and was thoroughly ...confused. This one has a lovely cover with the wonderful coloring that I recall from Wendy's first series. However, flipping over to the first page of the issue resulted in some eyestrain. So bright!! The story has piqued my interest so far, so I'll be picking this one up.
Chocolate Soy Yogurt
Why did no one think of this before?? Ordinarily, I don't eat yogurt plain. I tend to buy it to use in smoothies or say, biryani. And then I forget its in the back of the fridge and *mumble* I have to throw it out *mumble*. The kind I found is Stonyfield Farm's O'Soy brand. Yum!
Uncle Earl
Why a band of four female musicians call themselves "Uncle Earl", I dunno. But if you've at all been enjoying the recent resurgence of bluegrass music, you should give 'em a listen. They manage to be old-timey and modern at the same time and the lyrics are often amusing.
LJDQ (Livejournal Daily Quiz)
No it's not daily, but it is damn fun. Six questions on a theme. Correct answers are not necessarily the best ones.
