Stupid!
I just read this article about how applications to Cornell Law are way up this year, and it includes the offhand remark that some "credited Andy Bernard, of 'The Office' fame" for the spike in interest.
Ugh. Those people have problems with text comprehension and logic and won't be able to hack it in law school. TO WIT:
1. Andy went to Cornell undergrad.
2. Andy having gone to Cornell, and never shutting up about it, are meant as indicators of his douchiness.
3. I don't always watch the show anymore, so I may be wrong, but I think that as they've made the character more sympathetic they've toned down the Cornell stuff, so this theory is weirdly dated.
4. Andy Bernard is fictional.
