This issue came out a couple of months after Tim Drake was introduced in "A Lonely Place of Dying." It's written by Marv Wolfman and the pencils are Grummett, inks by Al Vey.
We'll start with the cover --
pastel Batman, Nightwing, and Tim in civvies.
Tim goes to visit Dick and manages to surprise him. He's
looking for advice. "Only you could teach me how to be [Batman's] partner."
Dick agrees that Tim needs some guidance so he can learn to
move like well-oiled gear. Well-oiled gear. No, I'm not going to get over this.
Tim has nascent Robin bangs.
Dick
takes him to the park.
He then
quizzes Tim and
invokes Jason.
The other plot happens for a while -- Raven is infected with something called Scourge and she's going crazy. We switch back to Dick and Tim
on a date stakeout.
The red haired guy is Not Roy. Dick has to reunite with the Titans. He
brings Tim.
Tim gets
knocked unconscious by Raven with no apparent long-term effects.
Tim wakes up and
introduces himself to Gar. Also, note that Roy is still Speedy.
Dick
sends Tim home with compliments Tim can't hear. Very Battish. Also, Slade and Wintergreen are gay.
