Nightwing Secret Files - A "Lost" NTT story
It's not often you find ALL the original pages of a story, but it helps when it's only four pages long.
This is the original art for a story from Nightwing Secret Files and Origins #1. Snagged from the Comicartfans.com pages of Michael Lovitz, whose art collection has me whimpering in desirous envy every time I peruse it.
The scans on the first three aren't the finest quality, but I thought it might be an interesting change of pace to see a story before the colourist has worked on it. (I've linked the pages through to the CAF pages if you want to leave any comments there, it seems only fair)
This is pencilled by Phil Jimenez, and is written by Devin Grayson, just to show that I think that she CAN write a nice quick short story from time to time.
This story fits into continuity just after New Teen Titans 26 and 27, the famous "Runaways" two-parter.. We join our heroes in the aftermath.
I love that the older Titans automatically know what's going on.
I frequently criticise Ms Grayson for her writing, but I honestly can say that I REALLY like this next page... (Also nice that Don Newton gets Tuckerised)
Not sure quite why Dick's eyes are quite so wide at the end there, but it's a nice shout out to Perez's style.
