It wasn't a great year, although I'm looking forward to The Wrestler. I'll be curious to hear what you think of Che if you get around to it/them.

I would definitely recommend back to back viewing; I think the two parts lean on each other too much to stand well alone.

Milk, in my opinion, is a very straightforward movie and, given that it's based on true events, you're not going to be too surprised about anything that happens. That said, it is VERY MUCH worth seeing as Sean Penn's performance is absolutely spectacular. I've always liked him as an actor but this is a career defining performance. imho

Not just Sean Penn. Josh Brolin was absolutely brilliant as Dan White.
