Firefly Games' new version of Og, the RPG of caveman miscommunication, written and designed by your humble correspondent, goes on sale as a PDF on Wednesday, and makes its print debut at Gen Con. (The physical version ships to distributors Sept 1st.) As part of the release festivities, Firefly is making available a three-part series of free PDFs containing my design notes on the project. In the
first installment, available now, I talk about the basic challenges inherent in taking Aldo Ghiozzi's brilliant original core idea for the game and turning it into something you might want to play on multiple occasions. Also available is a game preview document (at the above link) and
a peek at the spiffy cartoon cavemen of Bill Holbrook and Ramsey Hong.
On another front, yesterday I purchased supplies for my next project, in the form of a brick of green modeling clay.
