I got stung by a bee the other day at work. It did not feel good.
Steve is biking (cycling) across America this summer. He left Wednesday, and he is currently in Ohio. They are driving out to California, and then he and his friend, Mantis, are biking back to Massachusetts. I don't get to see him until sometime in August, whenever he returns.
Steve bought a new iPod for his trip, and gave me his old one. Yay! But my 5-year-old computer won't put music on it, I keep getting the "Blue Screen of Death." So that sucks. But I think I was able to transfer my top 300 songs onto a DVD, and will put them on the iPod using my dad's computer.
I want to get a new computer this weekend.
My birthday is Monday. I want new computer speakers (maybe to go with my new computer! --but I'll buy that myself) and new headphones for the iPod.
I'm working about 60 hours a week all summer, 20 at Macy's, 40 lifeguarding. So far, so good, but I've only been doing it for 2 weeks. Macy's is being really nice, and knows that my full time job comes first... they understand that I may not make it to the whole 20, and they're okay with that. Its great. I figure I'll make enough money to cover this computer!
I was in a car accident a few weeks ago, and my parents have just decided to "get rid" of my car. I'm all for that, it was driving me nuts. Driving the car is completely wonderful, and its the best car ever. But really, the car is a piece of crap. Many things are wrong with it.
Steve is letting me use his car for the summer. However, the passenger window can't go down, and the AC doesn't work. I'm bringing it in tomorrow to get fixed. Again, I'll use my summer funds to pay for this. I'm hoping it won't be more than $200. Otherwise, I think I will only fix one, and not the other. But which one? He says he doesn't care about the A/C, but I'm the one who will have to drive it all summer! The A/C in MY car works perfectly!
That is all I have for updates right now. I hope I get music on the iPod tomorrow, so I can use it at the gym.
Here's hoping!
