Okay, this is so not like me, but I figured if I could do this anywhere it was here, since there would be no judgments. I have become totally hooked on Criminal Minds. Currently, some of the actors are running crowd sourcing campaigns' to fund "passion" projects. And, while even I know that a lot of fans / people are opposed to "talent" or celebrities using platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo and other crowd sourcing media to fund their passion projects; as a realist I understand that most people, regardless of their profession and abilities, are not always given an opportunity to branch out to that next level that they know they can do and want to try. My recent job hunting efforts have only solidified that belief. So, I figured, why not. The beauty of crowd sourcing is that it is built to work on small dollars and lots of people. Hell if the optiion had existed back in the day, season 6 of Highlander might have been a hell of a lot better (or at least Methos would have his own show).
Anyway, I am posting a link here to Shemar Moore's effort- a romantic comedy called The Bounce Back - if anyone is interested or is more social media aware and wants to help spread the word, I'm sure it would be appreciated.
For Kristen Vangsness and Joe Mantegna - a film Noir black and white 50's film which is almost completed and needs the funds for final editing and such.
And, thank you all for allowing me my fannish moment. Unfortunately, now I need to go back to the real world.
