So, as many of you know I am going to HLWW8 in Vancouver, BC. I have been there before and love the city, but never have really had a lot of time to see things. usually a day or a day and a half. This time I thought I was allowing 3 1/2 days of free time. But with the HL schedule now including Friday activities during the day, I lost a day.
Anyway, on my list of things to do are
Stanley Park (been there before).
Day trip to Whistler and/or Victoria (always wanted to do the ferry from Seattle, etc, but never seemed to be operating),
Capilano Suspension Bridge (yes, I am petrified of heights, but so want to do this.)
Grouse Mountain and tram ride (dido the above)
Grandville Island (been before)
Dr Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden (been before - very peaceful. I think it is the one used in some of the HL series shows)
Gastown (dido on seen but have no clue were the dojo is)
Robson Street Shopping
Well you get the idea.
I can get to Gastown and/or Robson the afternoon I arrive or I can go on a late afternoon tour at Stanley Park. I can also get two of the places (Grouse Mountain and Capilano Bridge) done a guided day trip).
So my question. Has anyone done of any these, have any suggestions on what I should do? Anyone going who is free on Thursday 10/4 or Monday 10/8 and was planning on an excursion or sightseeing?
Help,
Roberta
