I heard that you can just take driving school online each and every time you get a ticket and it won't go on your insurance. I would fight it anyway to at least get it reduced. I got a $150 ticket reduced to $50 just for showing up. I would probably stress the fact that the cop was tailgating you, violating traffic laws and you took him for a crazy drunk and you were just trying to get out of the way because you feared for your life.

And how did you get a $117 ticket? What was so bad that he had to add $7 to the price? Does it really make a difference?

Eh. I am just a random kid who followed a link here from the Dillinger community. Just a kid who hates when cops break the law on the road causing you to break the law trying to avoid them. Doesn't seem right.

i'm gonna take the driving school and get those points off my license but i agree, i should fight it cause he was being a prick and i didn't feel like getting in an accident if i hit my brakes. and for him to fuckin say "why wouldn't you let me pass?" when the left lane was open the entire time is bullshit. he pissed me off so much. thanks for the comment man.

Yea. I have encountered stupid cops before. Prom night a cop pulled me over saying I was doing 40 in a 25. I went back and checked for a speed limit sign and there wasn't one. The only sign that was there was knocked over and covered in leaves.

When I talked to the guy and told him that the sign was knocked over when I appealed it, he just said, "Well it is a thickly settled area and you should have known better. It is common sense." Considering I was pulled over 2 seconds after I turned onto the street, I had never been in that town or on that street before in my life, and there were barely any houses on that street for it to be thickly settled.

And plus it was prom night.. I was just about to turn onto my date's street and I was probably the only sober kid on the road coming from the hotel. He should have cut me a break but instead he made me feel like shit by saying, "I am on this road to make sure stupid kids like you don't kill anyone."

They should fire cops who abuse their power, which is almost all of them.
