The more I look at the episode, the more I believe that John Simm is the best Master since Roger Delgado's original. As with Delgado, he presnts the flip-side of the relevant Doctor's personality, with all of the Doctor's traits and humour, yet utterly committed to the dark side. And, as per Delgado's Master, he's far far more interested in humiliating the Doctor rather than killing him.
