You should not go outside except for food shopping and the post office.

I don't! Seriously- I go down the shops, give things to the post peoples, buy cat food and come home. It's all very unadventurous. I've even cut $50 of my food spending!

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ - for booking train tickets
http://www.nationalexpress.com/home.aspx - for coach travel, which takes up to three times as long but is likely to be cheaper

I will be in Brighton throughout May/June, so do drop in and see me. :D

I'd like to go to Brighton, all that old fashioned sea-sidey business. :D

Stay positive! Things tend to work out better if you do!

I've got me kickin' boots on! And I've just found out next week that my friend is taking me on her market round- 3 markets in 3 days! So I'm craftin' like there's no tomorrow.

as someone who was recently denied a visa based on the fact that she was a poor ass student I can tell you that you need to have the equivilant of 600 quid in your personal bank account and have had it established there for 3 months.

Seriously?

Shitsticks. That might be difficult.

I really think this would be easier if we went in November like I wanted to.

It's true about booking in advance!
If you can, book NOW for coach travel through National Express or Megabus, whichever is cheaper. This far in advance you should be able to find a lot of those tasty one-pound fares...

Megabus! The name alone makes it sound worth the effort! It'll be like riding in a Transformer. One pound fare is enticing as well.
