I have been missing all the news, yes! I haven't read any of his columns for ages, I haven't even seen any new season Top Gear or finished watching Drink to Britain! I do keep him in my thoughts though, and I still watch a lot of (old) Top Gear. XD
The most recent thing I saw was a picture of him and Stephen Fry together, that just about blew my mind. I was in fop heaven. :D
"The discussion I have with Jeremy is that one day we'll have a pub. I'm quite interested in beer, Jeremy likes wine, we both like eating, so when we stop doing the show we're going to have a Top Gear Pub. Not as a branding exercise where you turn up occasionally like Gordon Ramsay - this would actually be us serving you, all the time: beer, wine, pies, fish-finger sandwiches. We'd live upstairs."
*DIES* This must at the very least be a sit-com, if not reality.
I think it's a bad idea. Just imagine, the bickering and arguing will be endless. I mean they're both at that grumpy old men phase where they become like old biddies. Anyway I can't wait for them to open their own pub. That would be my kind of place, simple British straight forward grub. If they ever need a kitchen assistant/kitchen cleaner I'm willing. I have kitchen work experience. I could even be referee too.
Well I'm not sure how Mrs.Clarkson would cope with it! Sarah probably wouldn't like it either because she doesn't seem to like anything.
I think James and Jezz are closer than they would like to admit- if they really did hate each other as much as James likes to make out they wouldn't be considering the pub thing. I think it's just one of those things that people do; I've observed in my own life that the more I love you, the more easily you will annoy me. I think they're quite close in private (not in a slashy way, that would be weird).
Having said that, it probably would be a bad idea. Even though it would totally blend with my fantasy of going to the UK, getting a job in a pub (because I'm Australian and it's my duty to work in English pubs) and then seducing James with my fantastic cooking. But I can do that no matter what happens!!
