The football season starts this weekend. Footscray play Geelong on Sunday.
Not sure how that's going to go. Carlton won the pre-season final, which just goes to show something I suppose. It may be their turn for a comeback. That will fun to watch. The Father at our church my last two years of high school was a Carlton supporter. Also a brilliant and funny man, so we didn't mind so much. He used to tell stories about his dog. I think my mum had a bit of a crush on him, actually. Sundays were the best day on the week. Unless we'd won our game in the kids comp on Saturday.
Anyhoo, a proper introduction post for anyone who comes across this from elsewhere.
My name is Robert, or Rob. I got Bob at high school, but gave that up when I got to university. There's a Father Bob now who gets to go on TV. How 'bout that, really?
I'm a doctor, which is sometimes really gross. I specialised in intestive care because it was like the opposite of Rheumatology. How many sixteen year olds do you know who can spell that?
I was born in Footscray, in Melbourne.
I support the Western Bulldogs and still call them Footscray.
Currently living in America and working for an evil genius bastard doctor.
