Day Trip

So I have just recently returned from my road trip to Chicago and back with Greg and Comy, and I had a splendid time. We visited some great places, and already thinking back on it I decided I might as well go back! There was this place in the middle of nowhere called Newberry Springs where we had lunch at the Bagdad Cafe:

It was good food and had this funny old lady who worked there as "PR" (her little joke) who had a granny beard and told us stories. It was definitely memorable.

This is what it looked like outside the restaurant:

Pretty much nothing going on. Isn't it fantastic? Since its only 2 1/2 hours from here (we left MB at 10:00 and got there at 12:30ish), I thought it would be nice to go visit. Drive out there, have lunch, and visit the other empty worthless towns (Amboy, Bagdad, Essex).

Things like this provide great poloroid opportunities:

Sooo, if anybody is interested in a day trip, let me know. If we leave at 10:00, we can be there by 12:30, drive around the area and see cool stuff and be home around six or seven. Sounds like a good out-of-the-ordinary way to spend a day to me!
