Desert Bayou
Killer of Sheep (Made 1977, released 2007)

40 Films. 41 if you want to split up Grindhouse into Planet Terror and Death Proof. (I liked Death Proof more.)

I saw 36 of them in theaters.

Black Snake Moan, Zodiac, and Sicko I did not see in theaters. I watched Black Snake Moan and Zodiac on DVD. Someone posted Sicko on GoogleVideo. I really wish I had seen Zodiac in theaters.

I paid to see Ocean's 13, Live Free or Die Hard, Ratatouille, Bourne Ultimatum, Darjeeling Limited twice in theaters. Three out of five times because my mom wanted to see a film (Oceans, Ratatoille, and Bourne). Once because my uncle wanted to see a movie (Live Free or Die Hard). Once because Kiki wanted to see a movie.

I saw Superbad three times.

I saw 26 of the films in New Orleans. 15 in Miami.

I paid money to see 35 of these films. Avg ticket price between New Orleans and Miami is about 8 dollars (not including specials). I saw some of these films multiple times. So it comes out to about $336 dollars in movie tickets. My mom gives me about $150 a month to live on. I've spent two months allowance on movie tickets.

Also I'm not counting films that were released in 2006, but I didn't get to see until 2007. Or all the old films I use my Netflix account to catch up on. Also film screenings for class (My "Women in Film Noir" class had 15+ films shown. I saw every single one.

Lets do something else:

Average film is about 1 hour and 30 mins along. 90 mins. I saw just about 47 films in theaters (again there are more, but I really don't want to think about it). So 47 times 90 equals 4230. 4230 mins. 4230 divided by 60 equals 70.5 hours. I've spent almost 3 full days sitting in the dark.

I saw eight movies alone. On this list.

Which was the best?
Ratatouille

Most difficult?
Lake of Fire (A two and a half hour documentary about Abortion. It takes no side.)

Saddest?
Control

Worst?
I can just tell you what I think sucked.
Ghost Rider
Spider-Man 3
Pirates 3

Dumbest:
Transformers
28 Weeks Later

Oddly Brilliant in a way that only I could like:
Aqua Teen

Film Sophocles would have been proud of:
Before The Devil Knows You're Dead

Movies with fucked up Sexual/Violence dichotomy:
300
The Brave One

Films I want to see before the year is over:

Goya's Ghosts
Bug
A Mighty Heart
La Vie En Rose
Interview
Breach
Sunshine
Resurrecting the Champ
Shoot Em Up
The Assassination of Jeese James by the Coward Robert Ford
Into The Wild
The Kingdom
Lust, Caution
Lars and the Real Girl
Gone Baby Gone
Rendition
Reservation Road
American Gangster
Lions for Lambs
No Country for Old Men
Southland Tales
Beowulf
The Mist
I'm Not There
Atonement
I am Legend
Juno
Youth Without Youth
The Kite Runner
Sweeney Todd
Charlie Wilson's War
There Will be Blood
Away From Her

Fun.
