Today's artwork, a swap ACEO
Fourth of five swap cards on "My Favorite Book" theme, this one is Baby from Jean Auel's Valley of Horses, book two of her Earth's Children series. Ayla, the heroine, raised a cave lion cub during her lonely time in the Valley of Horses, and Baby came back again and again in later groups, remembering her as his mum. A fun character, Baby was a very good natured mega-lion. Jean Auel described him as maned and very similar to modern lions except in size, so I used a reference of a modern lion. I may do prints of this one since I got him so detailed.
