I got up today and went to eHow for the first time in what's been two or three weeks. I had a lot of articles up but hadn't added new ones since I started going heavy on eBay. So I wrote two of them and both came out well, but did not lead to finished cool artworks as such, more sketches for the how-to aspect.
How to Draw Clasped Hands got a comment on DeviantART from my friend Peachfuzz immediately, asking me to do one on the neck and or shoulders. So I followed it with
How to Draw the Human Neck -- if you like my how to draw articles, here are two more good ones. Also I will follow these with doing Shoulders later on, and maybe other body parts in a series.
On thinking about that photo on a deserted island thing, I'd want to pose my son in law and daughter holding my cat with the dog in the picture and my grandkids in it too. I suspect that whatever the photo was, I would wind up drawing everything in it a thousand times if I had only one reference photo.
It's a weird hypothetical, because my health is such that I don't know that I'd survive alone having to do everything myself. It'd be very touch and go whether I starved for not being strong enough to catch and prepare food and create shelter, which is a humbling thing to admit. Frustrating too. But if we were all there, oh, photos wouldn't be nearly as much of a big deal, right?
