I did an artwork tonight after all, even though Lisa didn't come over because she was sick and crashed early instead of going out.
ACEO Kestrel Knotwork is my second experiment with Claybord Inks. I reworked this peacock and knotwork ACEO by coloring it too:
ACEO Peacock Knotwork Blue is a lot cooler in color, I like it better.
And I had another slamming happy surprise on the last day of my ravens blitz on Dec. 27th... one of them, Ravens and Books, sold for $50.99! So this is great. Every now and then a good one goes for quite high, while the sales on the rest do move along pretty well.
I also sold four packs of precut scratchboard ACEO blanks, for which there seems to be a great market among artists who haven't tried scratchboard yet. It's pretty cool! I ordered more scratchboard from Blick, and they let me put in a couple of last-minute items before my stuff shipped, so now I have plenty of supply coming. I also ordered more baseball card sleeves because every time I do a lot of blanks, it carves into the bag and it's down to less than half right now between cards I sold and blanks I sold. I put it all back into the business fast, and still haven't made a profit. But I'm gaining confidence every week that this is the right thing to do and I may build it to the point where I can live on that instead of Social Security.
