Drawing for the day...

Eliza Leahy of Colored Pencils Art asked me if I'd do a demo for the site, so I wrote one on Derwent Graphitints -- and drew/painted this cool little barn on a stormy day. I live in Kansas, we see those storms all the time and same with barns. But this is the first time I actually drew one and got good perspective and a reasonably plausible look to it. I used a reference from Artist's Photo Reference: Landscapes and promptly mangled it, changing everything and simplifying the building, which had a bunch of little white trimmed windows. I was using a magnifier to paint this thing anyway, the imaginary cows can have less lighting.

I'll write some tonight maybe, or if not, I'll relax and really pound into it tomorrow. Yesterday's immersion really helped relieve my nerves about nanowrimo.
