I'm BAAAACK!!!
Gah. I just found out today I got booted off my communities, the very day that I made it back to the Wild World of Teh Internets. So, I was going to lurk about a bit, but I have an obligation to tell the gang I'm a contributing member of society. And also to tell you all that I love you.

So today is the Feast Day of St. Jude, patron saint of lost or impossible causes. According to where I get my info, his patronage of lost causes stems from a confusion by early Christians between him and Judas. So since nobody ever prayed to Jude, a devotion to him was considered a lost cause.
He was a nephew of Joseph and Mary, and therefore a blood relative of Jesus. Was reputed to look a lot like him, meaning I suppose that they must've both looked a lot like Mary's side of the family.
And while a joke about me and my love life would be totally predictable here, I'm going to skip it. It's gotten to the point where even I am tired of the Matt, hapless romantic schtick. So I can only imagine how long my long-suffering friends have been enduring in relative silence. So, in what is usually the most lost of all causes, the drive for self-improvement, I am going to try and work in a new set of gags, because the old is way too threadbare.
