I lost my cat to lung cancer last week before Furry Fiesta. We had her a good long time, thank you God. I miss her a lot and my Mom and Dad does also. She was not much of a lap cat and you had to do things on her terms. She didn't like company too much as she would go and hide till they left. Angle should have been named trip sometime, as when I came in and it was dark she seem to find my legs when she was younger. Later in life she was a mellow kitty and always found her spot in the house or garage. I think she was trying to escape my mother as it seems mom was always hunting her down. She was healthy all her life with minor trips to vet for asthma problems. I think she took after me as I also have asthma. She was never a lap cat except to my dad and would not sit in anyone else lap. She did not like to be held either and would push away from you. On the last day, I must have held her a hour or so. I refused to put her down, I think she knew that I needed that.
I could not go to the vet with my dad when she was put to sleep. I was just too broken hearted. Think God for Furry Fiesta that following weekend, I do not think I could have stayed in a house without our cat. While at Furry Fiesta 2013 dad went to the animal shelter here in my local town and got a 2 year old cinnamon color tabby short hair. Now this kitty is all loving and is a lap cat for all of us. She does not like strangers or going outside for now.
