Hey, sorry it took so long... ok, so I have a weird form of short term alzheimers called you're-a-dumb-ass-so-you-for-get-things syndrome. I know, it sucks, but if you'd like to contribute to my I-need-money-to-party-errr-I-mean-get-better fund, you are more than welcome, just post a message with your email and I will contact you soon with my mailing address (checks and money-orders only please).

And we're going on...

Thursday, May 6:
OK, on this WONDERFUL day I was on call. Also it was the first day that I had off after exams. This WONDERFUL day just happened to be the biggest check out day too. So, that means that if another isn't around to check in his/her resident, then I have to do it. So it started at 8:30am. I got a call for a resident moving out... this woke me up, so I was in the best of moods, of course. Well I got it taken care of and all the paper work filled by about 8:50am. So I decided to try to get a little bit more sleep before everyone decided to check out. Well I'm in my room for about 5-10 min and I get another call. So I go do that. When I get back, I decide to give up trying to sleep in and just sit and watch some T.V. Just when I get settled, I get another call. I think "what the crap! is NO ONE else here to do their check outs?!" ... it turned out that only two of the twelve other R.A.'s were here... so the rest of that day SUCKED!

Friday, May 7:
This is the night of the Crawfish Boil! Saweeeet!!! It was a blast! Mark's (Mari's boyfriend) sister - Allison - came down and went with me, Mark, Mari, Kaylynne, Alana, and Rhea. There I met up with some friends (for a short period of time) John, Katia, Caroline, Rudy, Randy, Johnathon, and Chris. So, the first show I we saw was Dexter Freebish. THEY ROCKED! We got to meet with them afterward and I bought a CD and got them to sign the inlet. Next was Cowboymouth... none of us were to wild about fighting the crowd for them so we sat out and ate crawfish (a lot of damn work for the little bit of meat and an awful cologne of mystery cajun juices and crawfish squirtings to wear) and listened to the not so pleasant cowboymouth cussing the crowd out. Then we ran back in to listen to Better Than Ezra (YES!) - and the moshers moshing to music you should hold hands an smile to - and finally SISTER HAZEL. Sister Hazel was excellent, but we got really tired of freakin crowd surfers landing on my head, so we left before they were done. It was a blast and it was so funny seeing Allison (who's about 5'2" and 90lbs) beat the crap out of and intimidate people 3 times her size (thanks for that!). I think there was enough weed being puffed around us to give the singers a nice little buzz.
Saturday, May 8:
Another fun day ahead (After a long UAB graduation that I slept through again this year). The Rising was really good. It got really annoying when everyone started throwing bottles everywhere and even more annoying when they started putting dirt in them. I WOULD HAVE HUNTED DOWN AND BEATEN ANYONE'S ASS WHO WOULD HAVE HIT ANY OF US WITH ONE OF THOSE... whew... think of a happy place... but anyway, the lead singer caught a Gatorade in mid flight while not missing a beat... next was Trapt, and we got out of the crowd for that one (We guessed there'd be some mauling going on in that crowd). But they DID rock... from afar. Next came the highlight of the weekend: COLLECTIVE SOUL!!!!!!! They were the best show there (not counting the wasted 40-50 year old guy behind us screaming random obscenities)!!! That just topped off the entire night evening!

Ok, so that's what's happened till now. Oh and I got my grades: 4 A's (two of which were Blazer Band and Wind Symphony of course) and 3 B's. So that brought my GPA up .06 to a 3.26.

next week I'm going to CALIFORNIA!!!!! Both L.A. and San Diego!!! I'm psyched!!! I'm going with a friend who's dad is awesome and getting me a plane ticket and giving me a place to stay. Anyway, I'll try to update more often so these things don't have to be so FREAKIN' long... LATER!
