So, does anyone out there keep a budget?
I'm really anal when it comes to setting up budget spreadsheets. We use the OS Linux (we strongly dislike Windows). So, through their FREE software OpenOffice (which is also available one Windows... it's like Microsoft Office except it's free and better). In OpenOffice they have this system called Calc. It's the free version of Microsoft Excel. I have made myself spreadsheets with crazy mathematical formulas... :)
Do you know anyone who would like to have free budgeting tools? I have a series of spreadsheets they can use that I will send free with all of the calculations set and everything. The only thing they would have to do literally is put in numbers. The numbers that they put in would automatically be calculated in other areas of the sheets.
For example, I have a weekly expenditure sheet and a monthly expenditure sheet. The monthly expenditure sheet shows a monthly total while the weekly one shows the weekly total. When you enter a value in the weekly sheet, it will automatically bring up the monthly total in that category (Utilities - Electric, for example).
It's kind of confusing to explain. Budgeting is not just for poor people who live paycheck to paycheck! And I think a lot of people think that.
Do you know where your money goes each month? Even small expenses can get you (like laundry detergent, bottle of pop, snacks, etc.).
I'm offering this out of the goodness of my heart as we are called to be good stewards of our money. These charts will help you keep track of EVERYTHING! And once I figure out how to use their pie charts, I will include those, too.
So, if you would better like to organize your funds or maybe just keep yourself to a budget (with a little bit of flexibility), please contact me via email at jessica.roberson@gmail.com.
I had these sheets all finished on my other OS, but when we installed Linux, I forgot to save them, so I'm in the process of starting over again, so I should have them by tomorrow night. I will also include a user's manual so you can better understand the way the charts work.
