i really wanted to come up with a "10 best things most people don't know about" list, but, I think that most people I know have already heard about the things I really enjoy--probably way more than just the 10 best.  in fact, if i was as good at following through with my ambitions, i'd have already come up with many pdf'd manuals in the vein of the "so you'd like to _____" manuals.  but, i'm not yet independently wealthy, so time and money are still somewhat limited to be a resident expert on much more than bs'ing.  however, unlike my lost ambition to carry through proper capitalization through this livejournal entry, i will persist--maybe not this time, but soon, i'll try to integrate little tidbits of info that you probably didn't know--or at the least, i hope you'll find interesting.  for example:

four great things about the new diesel engine:

1.  quiet and clean running, much more like gas cars than their older diesel counterparts

2.  can be run on a variety of fuels.  new and old diesel engines will run on a number of fuel types, from dino diesel and kerosene to renewable biodiesel, and can even be made to run on vegetable oil.  no more gas stations...just filter the oil from the fryer at your favorite chinese food restaurant...

3.  it's just fun to confuse people with a fast diesel.

4.  even better gas mileage than the old diesels.  My brother has a 1984 diesel benz which according to www.fueleconomy.gov, gets a combined mileage of 23mpg.  not bad, especially for such a heavy car.  the new benz E320 Cdi gets a combined 30mpg which is better...but the much lighter and smaller-engined volkswagen jetta diesel gets a combined 41mpg.
