another update? what happen?

a third update in two days? the end of the world is surely near...

today has been rather un-fun. got out of bed and tried to take a shower--the water was shut off by maintenance, as they were servicing the building. nice start to the day...eventually got a shower, but wasted so much time trying to accomplish this usually subconscious task. got to school late, didn't have much time to study for the brutal caning that will be wednesday's Networks test. hopefully it's not going to be as bad as i'm thinknig it'll be...but i was worried enough about it today to really get down about it. thankfully my thermo test isn't this week, but next week, so that buys me some time--so now i can focus on networks on wednesday and emag on thursday. i'm so ready to get out of school, it hurts.

the weather today was perfect--which figures, because i was stuck inside all day.  would've been the perfect day to go for a ride; i really considered ditching class, but i can't bring myself to do that the way i used to.  i remember nice days at tech i'd bum around campus all day, riding down stairs, hanging out by the shaft, and generally slacking off on two wheels whenever possible.  i miss that reckless fun, tweaking wheels on the skiles stairs and the library loading dock...every time i ride around campus here, i try and find stuff to jump/drop.  but there really isn't much--there's a loading dock off the physics building, but it's hard to get to...and there are zero hills, unless you count the usf business administration bunker, which isn't climbable either.  it seems that the usf campus is a highly bike-proof campus.  instead, the campus is overrun with cars and golf carts, neither of which respect the right of way of the pedestrian or bicyclist.

which makes me think, what state would be the most bicycle friendly?  maybe this is a loaded question, because everyone's first guess would probably be california...but i think i'd rather live in an elephant's uterus than live out in california.  call me crazy, but the nice places in CA are a little too expensive.  plus i'm still not sure if i 100% trust the governator.  i'd like to be able to ride my bike and enjoy nature and clean air--not sprawling urban scenes and lung-melting gray air.  i'd rather not live someplace where i have to check the smog report before i go out...

any ideas?  anyone ever lived anywhere in the states they really loved?  let me know...i'd like to hear about other people's experiences.

i've gotta go to bed.  i'm falling asleep at the keyboard here...more to follow.

ooh...before i go.  here's a pic of my baby, as requested.  she's hard to get pictures of, she likes to be the photographer much more than being the photographer's subject...
