OMG! Update!
So, lots of things seem to be going on right now. Hence the lack of update.
In an attempt to remedy that, I will do an update now. I may forget some stuff, if I do, I will do another post getting whatever info I missed.
So, here goes.
The library's game day will be next friday! I am so very excited, as are all of my teens. I can't wait! I think its going to be alot of fun. So, I have been busy setting that up, doing fliers, and posters. I even drew a little picture for the poster. Its not fantastic, but I am rather proud of it. Have a look, if you want. Along with getting ready for this, doing much needed weeding in the YA collection, negotiations with presenters for the summer reading program, gathering donations from sponsors, and just random work stuff . . . well, lets just say work has been busy.
Jenny and I tried to talk to each other earlier this week. It didn't work out so well, though. She had a bad connection and we couldn't really do any talking. After about 3 minutes of talking on the first call, it cut off. The second call only lasted about 30 seconds. After that, I couldn't reconnect with her. I tried for about an hour before giving up and going back to sleep. I was really disappointed, though. I miss her alot and getting to talk to her is such a rare thing. I did get a letter from her, though. Which is really cool. She seems to be doing well. She has alot of project ideas she wants to start. She is doing a dry season garden with the local school, teaching them all the ins and outs of that. It sounds really interesting, everything that she's doing. I'm very proud of what she is doing! She also made a cute little valentine with an owl on it. I may try to scan it in later, so you can see its cuteness. I got all pink and fuzzy inside when I found it in the envelope. :) <3 <3 <3
heartofmoose's birthday party fucking rocked! It was so much fun. I got to see Scott, which was really nice. We all miss that big, bald, lug. We had some great jello shots and lots of beer. We watched some movies and had a fun time with Doug's rather amusing stupid hat collection. I imagine there are pictures somewhere, if I can get some, I will toss them up here for you guys to peruse. I also got to talk alot with heartofmoose's sister, Julie. I always thought she was cool; but . . . Wow, she just rocks. Which brings me to my next bit of news this week . . .
I have a new friend. Julie and I have been talking ALOT over the past few days. By alot, I mean for hours and hours at a time. She's just too freakin cool. I have been looking forward to talking with her everyday since we started talking. I mean . . . wow! She's simply brilliant. I (and hope she as well, would suck if she is just talking with me to be nice) have so much fun when we talk. Anyway, its great. So . . . <3 vicious_twitch.
Okies, that's all for now. There is some other stuff running around in my head, some of it rather substantial. But, I dunno how to put words to it yet. I will hopefully be capable of talking about those things soon. I should really try to post on this thing more anyway. I kinda miss it. :)
