Even more Sweeney
Tonight, I'm watching Sweeney Todd in Concert (2001) with George Hearn as Sweeney, Patti Lupone as Mr. Lovett, and Neil Patrick Harris as Toby.
George Hearn, of course, is superb. Patti, however, is a bit disconcerting. Her accent is East End by way of Brooklyn (more Brooklyn than British). She can sure belt out the songs, but she sounds more like Fanny Brice than Angela Lansbury.
