On the Enterprise, if an automatic door doesn't open, someone pops an access panel and can use the manual override to open the door.
On an 1998 Ford Windstar, if the power window servo dies, there is no manual override to roll the damned window up!
I rolled down the window on my way home from work. When I got home, I tried rolling up the window and nothing happened. When I went to band practice, I tried closing it. Nope. When I came home from band practice: same story. Phil and I just took the door apart and could not figure out what to do.
I have told Phil that even though he is sorely tempted, he must NOT say "What next?" The Universe loves to answer that particular question.
