Cats grieve in odd ways.
Komori has gotten obsessive.
His favorite toy is a green pompom ball on a wire, with a jingle bell at the end where the ball is. The original was part of a scratching post or similar cat toy. That one got destroyed years ago, but Phil made a replacement. Komori actually plays fetch. He'll bring us the ball and meow at us until we throw it. Of course, we dangle the ball in front of him some before actually throwing the wire down the hall. He'll run after it, then come stalking back, the ball in his mouth, the wire trailing on the floor between his legs.
This week, that is ALL this cat has wanted to do. Every time we turn around he's right there, meowing like never before, wanting to play.
