I'm watching Oceans Twelve (but it's paused) while I write this. Today I got up at 8:30 to head over to Yvette's so we could go shooping for the Day-after-Christmas Sale at Kohl's. This isn't a bad thing on normal occasions. . . I like shopping with her. But let's just say the shopping bug had taking a bite at me this morning and I felt the need to update my wardrobe. I now own a few nice turtleneck sweater things that are very soft and not thick. They're super great and I only wish they had other colors. After that we went by the mall. See, I hate the mall. . . I always have. Shopping is like the bane of my existence. . . I just can't stand it. It makes my skin crawl. BUT we went into Macy's so Yvette could find her bra for the dress she wants to wear on New Years Eve and that was okay. . . nothing I wanted there. But there is an H&M in Towson Town Center. This puts me in a bad place because I adore that store to itty bitty pieces. Ikea is where I want to get my couch from, but H&M is where I want my clothing from. I found two halter tops (I'm trying to girly up my wardrobe just a teensy bit), a plaid skirt (yes, it's even red, but it looks really nice), and a black jacket that I've pretty much been looking for for um. . YEARS. I was so happy to find it. It's not QUITE what I'm looking for, but it was the only Size 8 jacket in the whole place and it fits and looks good. So there we go.
I also got a black erm. . . not corset. . but top thingy that is very shiny and black and pretty. . I need to go back tomorrow and see if they have a Medium and trade in the Small. The small is kind of hard to get off. . . and I don't like being stuck in my clothing.
So yeah. . .I have girly things now. And people are threatening to take me out since I have tops that can be worn in bars and such. Fun. . . haha, no I'm kidding. . I look forward to it. It's nice to have the ability to go girly if I need to. But I'm still going to sit here comfy as can be in my jeans that are the right length but too big in the waist, random shirt and my Mountain Hardware jacket that's wind resistant. No heels, no crazy pantyhose and skirts. . . I'm still me. . but I have the ability to go a bit more girly.
Oh and Martine and Yvette gave me a purse for Christmas. Yeah. . a purse. . a real one. . . not a messenger bag from Timbuktu or something from H&M that looks casual and stuff. . but something one could carry to an interview and it would look nice. *gasp* What's worse is I actually asked for it for Christmas as one of a few items. Yeah. . . I just don't know how to go shopping for this stuff on my own.
On another note, the Snufflers I am dog sitting need to go out, and are looking very bored and the movie is on pause and I should get back to it. . .and and and. . . yeah....
Mixed CDs. . I need to make more mixed CDs. . . and if anyone wants to send me some with nice music that is not classical. . . I'd appreciate it. I'm coming to terms with my lack of music that isn't by some long-since-dead-guy-that-loved-orchestras-and-wore-a-wig.
