Why is it dark in here?

Yeah, right now, there's a lot I'm trying to deal with. but it could be worse. Much worse. That makes handling this so much better. I've got my health, I have a relatively stable, albeit sometimes irritating job, and good friends.  And today was a good day to illustrate that.

Techie me: Good afternoon, Tech Support, This is Rob.
Sales Manager: yes, I can't connect to my email on my laptop.
Techie me: ok,  what message do you get?
Sales Manager: can't connect to the TCP/IP address.
Techie me: Ok, can you get to another website, like yahoo.com?
Sales Manager: let me try......nope.
Techie me: ok, are there lights on your cable modem?
Sales Manager: um.. NO...there isn't! And the printer is off too!
Techie me: what about the lights? 
Sales Manager: NO, they won't turn on either!
Techie me: hmmm, Sounds like you need to check your fuse box.
Sales Manager: I guess, I guess I have to figure out where that is, don't I?
Techie me: Yup.

And here I thought it would be a long call.

Now, off to Thom's birthday gathering.
