WHAT A VACATION!
It was officially a vacation because I used vacation days. VACATION DAYS!!! Who knew I'd ever have those?!
Drove for 4 hours on friday... got a trucker sunburn on my left arm and knee... sweet. Met sister and sister's boyfriend...went to wedding where EVERYONE had amazing tattoos and smoked like chimneys. Then went to reception and got trashed on whiskey, patron, and Irish car bombs. Ended up at some biker bars and watched the harley guys peel out at bar time. yeah.... that's safe ;P
Woke up Saturday at my uncles feeling like hammered shit. Drove to Duluth... another 2 1/2 hours. Met up with Kasha and Patrick.... went to the local dive bars... had too many shots... got too drunk to dance... but enjoyed it all.
Woke up Sunday.... not so hungover... but stinking like booze. We went to the lake to see Kasha's cousin. Did some wakeboarding, got some sun, drank some beers, and being the dumb ass I am, jumped into the lake with a full pack of cigarettes in the pocket of my board shorts. *WooT* Played dominoes (A Jerry's kids tradition) with everyone... got sis's boyfriend really fucked up and laughed too much about it. He's a 5'8 Irish Catholic surfer from California who plays rugby... tell me THAT'S not cool shit!
Monday went swimming at Gooseberry Falls. Did some cliff jumping off some small stuff. Dad got inspired and took me to Lester River where there's a railroad bridge 55ft over the water. He jumped it when he was young, I jumped it a few times when I was about 14.... and jumped it again. There's video... shitty quality... but the memory WILL LIVE ON! Then drove home to Madison an EXHILIRATING 5 hours. Got in at midnight, went to the bars... and got up for work this morning.
WORK WAS AMAZING TODAY! So many deadlines... so many stressful moments... but I loved every minute. It's boring when we have all the time we need to get plans out to architects... it's when the architect fucks up and needs us to save them in.... an hour from now... that shit gets interesting. I can see myself doing this for a LONG time.
