Cars Part Deux

...On to the Swedes. They make some nice cars. I totally dig the Saab 9-3 for its power, features, personality, looks, somewhat decent reliability, comfort and handling. The reliability thing isn't that much of a problem, especially since GM took Saab and started giving them funding. Before they were funded by GM, Saab wasn't able to invest ( Read more... )

I was going to post a third part about transmissions, car types, driving styles and traffic patterns, but have too much work to do for now...I'm glad to hear you are driving again. I don't know what your plans are, but I say get all the practice you can while you're up here. You are pretty lucky you are getting practice on a manual, even though you might not see it that way. There are many advantages to stick amongst very few (yet sometimes significant) drawbacks. I am very glad I did the switch, as I can now enjoy my commute and feel in control of my car. I can't count all the times I have told myself how glad I am I am driving manual when I come into a bad situation. You won't feel in control for a while driving manual, but once you are good at it, going back to auto will most likely not be as rewarding as you expect, at least up in Albania it won't.

I'm sure they offer the 5 hour course in Albs, which would get you the blue card...You're both learning on the Aerio?_? Test is probably easier up in Albs too; getting a good test date is another story for most anywhere, though...

Name of the place is Speculator, NY. It's way up North. If the course is the same as it was ten years ago, when my sister's friend took the test there after failing it several times downstate, all they have you do is drive down a straight road.
