whoops...no updates
sorry for the lack of updates. i've been really busy lately doing:
1) liz's birthday - this was an awesome day. i gave liz her first gift at midnight before we went to sleep october 8th. it was a 2005 harry potter calendar that she said she needed a while ago. we went to sleep and snuggled and stuff and woke up the next day mad early for her 9:30 class. i drove her like i always do and went to price chopper to grab a few last minute cake fixins. then, we went to financial accounting at 12:30. we got our tests back. i got an a-. after class, we went back to her house and hung out for a while until i decided it was time to make lunch/dinner for the both of us. so i stole some chicken from her freezer (hey..i was out of chicken leave me alone!) and made breaded chicken nuggets. i made liz a baked potato and both of us some velveeta shells and cheese. breading and frying chicken is a very tricky process, but i think i'm getting a lot better at it. with lunch, i gave her the rest of her gifts that included: kurt vonnegut's slaughterhouse five (her favorite book), sweet pea body spray from bath and body works, a mango-scented yankee candle, the new used cd and tic tacs. after that, liz kept trying to clean up but i wouldnt let her because it was her birthday. i told her that if she won't stop trying to clean that she has to go home and stay there so i can do it. so she did haha. and i made a birthday cake (funfetti with chocolate icing). it was really good. that night, we watched the presidential debate and i gave her her cake. jim weir came over for a bit and hung out. and my entire house just sat outside on our folding chairs and chilled until like 4 AM. liz got a lil drunk, but what's better to do on a friday night when everyone's drinking! it was a really great day. i hope she enjoyed it as much as i did.
2) indrid - we practiced for like 4 hours yesterday, and did some recording of our newest song "mine fields and anti-gravity". we got phil's drum track down, which is really the hardest part because it's much harder to patch in and edit drums because of cymbal resonance...so he had to nail the whole song through without any mistakes. i played into headphones he was wearing so he could know where exactly he was in the song. i recorded next. i played it a few times, very sloppily, then i played it a lot better with a few fuck ups. so we went to go and patch in better playing where the fuck ups were, but dean's mesa amp that i was using blew a fuse and got all fucked up. you can't patch in music from two different amps because it won't sound the same. so basically that ended practice. after that, phil drove to beacon (weirdest little town) to get his septum pierced. matt (our friend/piercer) was too busy to do it that night so he said to come back later in the week, so we're going back on wednesday morning. liz is going to get an industrial i think...i would get it but i have no money right now. i'll definitely be getting it in the future as well. i also want a quarter sleeve, but that's a different story for a different day.
3) mall/sleep - today liz and i went to the mall. she wanted to exchange her sweet pea spray because we ended up buying it on the same day (she bought it for herself when she went to the mall with her parents and i bought it for her as a birthday gift later that day at the mall with my parents). so she bought a citrusy hand lotion type thing. it smells nice. i think it's mango actually. she <3's mangoes. i tried on a pea coat at old navy today. liz said i looked cute. she always says that. liz was looking in old navy for a new vest, but they had just started getting them in, so they didn't have her size yet. she was upset, i tried to console her =). after that, we went to target where she wanted to look for clear mascara, but bought black because clear wasn't there. stupid makeup companies. she bought bourbon chicken for us for lunch and i was very grateful because i have zero dollars right now. after the mall, we came back to my room and slept like whoa because we were still so tired from saturday night when we were up till like 4 again. the lack of sleep really caught up to us.
