our pets / our children....
Well my mothers threats have come true - every time she took me to the emergency room she said that one day my "children" would give me gray hair and grief like I did her and my dad... little did she know 30yrs ago that my children would be the 4 legged kind....
so - both Kitty and Puppy-Puppy went to the vet - yesterday - Kitty who is 15 - has lost a lot of weight lately and has decided that after 15 years - she wants to take showers with us - leading to a wet long haired cat - that now needs to be shaved cause she won't let us get the knots out of her fur...
SO Dr. "Cubby" did blood work on her first - and found out kitty has hyperthyroidsim ( if I could only be so lucky to loose weight) and she'll now be on thyroid meds for the rest of her little life... so that's an extra $ 15 a month in meds...
NOW - onto 8yr old Puppy-Puppy - who one day thought she was 2 yr old -and decided to jump off the deck - well Puppy-Puppy tore ligaments in her hind leg - and now requires surgery and pain meds - well I have to do it - she is only 8 and is a very sweet and loving boxer... but $3000 is what it will cost in the end...
Oi - this has been a very trying 24hrs and very expensive - especially since I don't have that kind of dough to spare - but they are my "children" --- thanks mom - didnt think your curse would come true on your gay son....
