Three Cheers for the Asshole King...

So I was supposed to be on the road 30 minutes ago to get to Eisenhower's Farm in Pennsylvania for the weekend, but no, here I am typing away like an imbecile.

The show last night was a blast, but it gets really irritating when you constantly have people hovering over your shoulder and trying to tell you how to do the job you've been doing on and off for the better part of a decade. "When you get a level set for these guys [the Three Bad Jacks]," my handler said, "you should go out into the audience so you can get a better idea of how it sounds."

Nooooo shit, Sherlock. Like I've never done live sound before...

Granted, I'm sure he was really antsy, since this was a relatively big band for the venue, and he'd never worked with me before. Plus, everyone [including all the artists] was really appreciative of my work, so I bit my tongue and kept doing what I was doing.

I took a half day at work just so I could get ready for this event. I shaved off my beard, so now I look 12 again, and got a haircut. One month away from the military barber, and my hair still isn't long enough to do a 1940s hairstyle! But, I got a close approximation based on a photo of a young starshiy leytenyant, and with a ton of pomade, it's definitely a hairstyle not from the 21st century.

So if anyone's making a trip to Gettysburg this weekend...check out Ike's Farm. I'll be with the only squared-away Soviet unit out there. We is teh sexxxiest!

Alright, time to get packing...

work, reenacting, music, russia
