"positive public example"
Bob, for a one day small ride this is fantastic so far, Tim Baily, the Austin Pos Ped chapter chair is respected by David Smith and anyone else who mentioned his name. Im so glad I took time off to crew this ride. This chapter will grow for sure.
For the 1st time in 7 years, the did a Riderless Cycle at this dinner/registration meeting.
I thanked them, the new chapter and its leader and all riders/crew for supporting each other.
When the event was over, the littlest girl came up to me (remember Im 6'4") and like the little girl in Who Ville asked me if I had AIDS.
I of course said yes and her instant response "does it hurt"
What honesty and genuine curiosity in a little child!
My response "Do you ever get a very bad cold? It feels like that some times. I just have to take good care of me"
Her only response was a heart felt full press hug.
We, pos peds touched this child by our "positive public example"
