it's friday night in the land of rori. i'm craving red meat, and i think i just finished working on a new song. i like making music for me, the Trinity, and occasionally my roommates (and parents who don't appreciate that they have a mildly talented songstress for a daughter). today was a particularly frustrating day at work. apparently the president signed the bill for hyper extended unemployment benefits, which means everyone and their mom who watches the news or listens to the radio decided to call in and try to get aforementioned unemployment benefits. dude, G Dub signed the freaking bill last night! it doesn't even go into effect until Sunday. basically that means i talked to a buttload of super frustrated unemployed people. and one of them made me cry. not because she was mean. but because i felt frustrated that i could not adequately explain things to her (mainly because no one ever explained stuff to me). i hate not knowing things. and i hate when people think i'm stupid and ask to speak to a supervisor. oh my pride. but on a happier note, we may have to start working mandatory overtime! :(
i have half a mind to hop in my car and just go somewhere. i really want a burger. but i have no friends. and i have not yet reached the point of desperation where i roll up to a restaurant and eat by myself. i will go to a movie by myself but dinner, erm, no. and my burger craving is for like a really huge juicy delicious burger, not for a fake wendy type i can barely taste the meat burger. oh no. i need burger juice dripping down my arm. . .i'm soooo hungry.
it's fall once again. fall is a lonely time of year. it's cold and you want to cuddle. or at least i do. so i've taken to simply spending more time in bed. i sleep like it's my job. oh that i could get paid to sleep.
we had another bomb threat at work on wednesday. it was short and i only got like 2 pages of deathly hallows read. boo. and it was butt cold outside too. that was pretty much the excitement of my week. and gas finally falling below $2 a gallon. hallelujah! praise the Jesus!
i watched a slightly disturbing and ultimately very depressing movie last night. the good girl. yuck. it looked promising, but in the end it just kind left me feeling a little sad that i wasted an hour and a half of my life on that, but at the same time thankful that i got it from the library fo' free! it was a comedy that wasn't funny at all. jake gyllenhaal is a creeper. it was confirmed. i thought so after seeing brokeback mountain, but now i am convinced that home skillet has to have some serious deep seated issues. he seems incapable of playing non weird (emotionally) characters. and there was superfluous "love" scenes. ugh. the moral of this story, don't watch the movie. or watch it and be depressed and disappointed. or watch it and love it and tell me i'm an idiot.
anything else? i have beer in the fridge. i want to drink it. but it's not cold and i haven't eaten, and i want to enjoy the wonderful deliciousness. i have spent a lot of time alone this week. man when libby's not here joyce and i turn into 2 ships passing in the night.
alright, well there you have it. this is me. rori dunbar, lonely carnivore and songstress. ho hum.
