Whoa, Slow That Brain Train Down.

I have decided that I needed a Daffy Duck icon because he is pretty much the cartoon version of me, but with more style and avarice. Or rather, I'm him when it comes to the freaking out and hoo-hoo'ing all over the place. You think I'm kidding, but you haven't seen me have a full-scale freak out. You'd be surprised at how similar we are.

Recs for The Eagle and Suits!

First Bite of the Apple by planejane, a sweet, wonderful AU of a teenage Marcus and Esca and how Marcus loses his virginity to Esca.

Over the coming weeks, Marcus and Esca wrestle every few days. Esca grows in strength and wile. Marcus learns his tricks but isn’t always fast enough to avoid them. Despite Marcus’s advantage in size, they are nearly an even match.

Marcus discovers, also, that he is far less disagreeable about being pinned on the ground by Esca than he ought to be. Indeed, sometimes he finds he likes it enough that it makes his cock start swelling. Marcus looks for signs that Esca is similarly affected but he doesn’t want to be obvious. Esca is as difficult to read as Plato. In the end, Marcus is convinced, with some shame, that it is only he who is aroused by the wrestling.

He thinks about using the brothel, to temper his unruly passion. But he still can’t bring himself to go there.

planejane has a lovely, quiet style of writing that suits these characters so well, and her Marcus is adorable while her Esca is fierce and proud, so perfectly them. You should read it and tell her to always write them.

maja_li has written two amazing Harvey/Mike stories for the kinkmeme and I need to rec them here because omfg hot! First up is Good Boy, a story about Mike becoming Harvey's sub and Harvey learning how to make it work in a relationship. Again, I don't normally like D/s stories, with a few exceptions, but this one is amazingly written and Mike pining for Harvey is the hottest thing ever.

It starts with the little things.

Get up.

Move over.

Here's what you're going to do.

Mike writes off his instinct to obey as not wanting to piss off his new boss, and the little thrill of pleasure he gets out of it as nothing more than satisfaction taken in a job well done. He needs Harvey to trust him because he needs to keep this job, not because he needs Harvey.

And when Mike refuses to take it easy on Louis, and Harvey growls,

"Good boy,"

in a voice that goes straight to Mike's dick, well, Mike is comfortable enough with himself to admit that he's experimented with more than just weed. And liked it.

It is hot. You will never look at Harvey's "Good boy" the same way and you will love it.

And finally, Caveat Quaestor, a seemingly simple story of Harvey finding out that Mike has a tattoo and trying to devise ways to see it, but there is so much more going on underneath the surface.

"Oh man," Mike breathes, as he steps into the plane cabin and just stares. "This is what flying first class is like?"

"Oh, God," Harvey mutters, and shoves him into his seat. "You're twenty-five years old, I know you've been on a plane before."

"Yeah, once. When you sent me to Harvard," Mike retorts, handing Harvey his carry-on to stow in the overhead bin. "Which, I still don't understand why that was necessary, by the way, it's only like a four hour drive."

"And yet you still don't own a car," Harvey points out. He fusses around with the overhead a little longer, then gets stuck when a imperious little old lady nudges him with her cane and "requests" his assistance. It's easier to help than to argue, but by the time Harvey finally sits down, Mike has already turned on the in-flight entertainment system and is blasting away at a horde of zombies, headphones clapped tightly over his ears. Harvey is about to yank the thing out of his hands when Mike pauses it and turns to him with a grin.

"This is awesome!" he enthuses, eyes shining like he's a four-year-old at Christmas. "Why didn't I fly like this last time?"

"Because you’re an idiot whose naiveté will only remain charming for so long?"

Her dialogue is fantastic, the characters are pitch-perfect, and her Donna is awesome beyond words. Go read it because you know you'll love it.

In conclusion: SUDDENLY THEIR EYES ARE VERY CLOSE.
