Remember how I flailed over
The Spirit and the Letter a while back as an amazing Dresden Files genderswap that had Harry as a woman and Marcone taking the opportunity to finally make his move on Harry? And how it was hot and sweet and hilarious and sad at the same time?
Yeah, lightgetsin finally posted the sequel to that:
A New Covenant, and it is amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. There is plot and hilarity and some terrifying moments and some painful moments and everything in it makes me achey and full of feelings.
Here is one of my favorite parts:
Harry came out of the bathroom in a towel, hair dripping. "Hey," he said, smiling anxiously. "You kids getting along?"
"Sure thing," the skull chirped before John could answer. "Boss, you've been holding out on me. You never said Moneybags here was hot."
"Hells bells, here we go," Harry said, rolling his eyes. "Bob, what have I told you about sexually harassing people?"
"You said don't do it unless they're an agent of evil or really annoying," the skull said promptly. "Which one is he?"
John lifted an eyebrow, very interested in the answer to that one.
"Both," Harry snapped. "Wait. I meant neither."
I will be re-reading this at least five more times before I can stop flailing about with glee and delight.
