I've Performed A Few Mercy Killings.
So I was going to finally start of the new year with a positive, happy post and lots of music because I had a great holiday and came back to lots of holiday cards from wonderful people that I love (and thank you for taking the time to send them to me, they are all beautiful and I love them). It was going to be a joyful post.
And then somehow, one of music folders went missing. And of course, it's the folder with over a thousand random singles that will probably take me forever to find again.
Cue headdesking unto infinity.
Right, so no deliriously happy post. But I do hope you all had great holidays and will have a wonderful 2010. To celebrate a new decade, I'm uploading a song that has been gone a long way toward not making me want to stab things.
Ray Collins Hot Club - Barefoot
I discovered the Ray Collins Hot Club band after watching Barfuss (homg, movie, how can you make me SO HAPPY while breaking my heart at the same time?) and hearing this song. It will forever remind me of Leila's happy, smiling face as she drops the tomato into the shopping cart, and it does a lot to make my heart happy whenever I hear it.
Bonus: they are a German SWING BAND. My love cannot be textually rendered at this point, but it's there, overwhelming me at every turn.
