I pretty much wrote this story because I wanted to make a whole lotta references to TOS and L.A. Graf's novel, Death Count (which wins everything ever for all the BFFness between Uhura, Chekov, and Sulu) and generally write Kirk and McCoy snarking at each other. <333333333333 Interesting fact I hadn't considered: if Chekov is on Earth at this time, doesn't that mean that he's also on Earth with the actors of Star Trek, and does that mean that Star Trek exists as both a real and a fictional idea? *head explodes*

I am always for Kirk/McCoy shenanigans, especially at bars. And God, yes, everyone should be jealous of Spock because his girlfriend is brilliant and hot.

I love Kirk and McCoy's friendship because even without the explicit slash, it's still a romance between them. Like, they were SO MARRIED in the movie that the subtext was practically text. :D
