We're On The Same Curve, Just On Opposite Ends.
So today the main receptionist turned twenty, and because I adore her like a crazy adoring thing, I bought her a chocolate fudge cake, plates, forks, and sort of sang the birthday song at her desk. In all the time I have worked for a living, I have never done that for a co-worker, except maybe Fun Co-Worker, and even then, there was no cake.
I'm going to miss this girl when she goes back to school. She's funny and smart and competent and hard-working, and sometimes, she makes me laugh so hard, I cry, so of course she isn't going to stay. Sigh. Still, I had a good time working with her. I hope the next receptionist is as good as she is, but I doubt it. *sadface*
So I'm sort of obsessed with this song, mostly because I seem to be stupidly in love with John Legend's voice. I really, really need to get all his albums.
Overall, today was a decent day. One more day, and then hello, Toronto!
