When you slaughter a creature, you slaughter God.

I guess I just let yesterday slip by without realizing it, but it was my 1 year anniversary of being vegan. By my approximation, I feel that being vegan can be correlated to my relatively newfound success in school. Without such a harsh ideology to model my life around, I was just “half-assing” it.  Just being vegetarian for so long, without reexamining why I was vegetarian and why I had not moved on to veganism, is easily associated to my lack of concentration in school.

I think people really to need to look at themselves and concentrate on how they are leading their lives, consistently reevaluating their values and morality.  This goes without saying, but people should always be attempting to improve themselves in every discernable aspect. Sure, you can be well read on Foucault, Hegel, Zweigenhaft and fucking whoever, but your love handles and heart disease are not attractive. You maybe on the soccer team, but if talking about your idea of intellectual conversation is who is the “most totally hot chic” on American idol/survivor/shitty reality tv how #3, then you should be stabbed in the eye(s), but I digress. (reading over this paragraph, i think i need a girlfriend, been like 3 months.)

<>To be honest though, veganism is not hard. Whenever I hear other vegans tell me how much they miss (blah blah blah) I just cant help but wonder why they miss it.  If people who are vegan, are vegan for the correct reasons (whatever those are), then they should not miss anything about their previous lifestyle. I’m so sick of hearing people say, “oh but I miss cheese SOOOO BAD.” Then you know what, douchebag, go eat it. If you appreciate animal rights, care about your body, and are concerned with the longevity of the earth, I hope  you can put that grilled cheese out of your consciousness. I’m not some sort of vegan radical that detests or loathes non-vegans, I just wish people’s actions and lifestyles reflected their values and moral truths.

Blah blah blah. 1 year, 50+ left (knock knock).
