Now the story that I wish to share with you. Today as I was leaving the parkinglot of a grocer where Neve and I had gone to get some snacks and (popcorn of course). We saw and ederly man a short distance from us, with a walker, fall to the ground. His elderly wife couldn't aid him in standing again. I watched as 4 people, including myself rushed to his side to help him and get him back on his feet. I was amazed as the people who were strangers patted him on the back and comforted his obviously distraught wife. They all stayed until it was certain he wasn't in need of medical attention. And everyone smiles had retured to their faces. A fall like that for a person his age can easily break a hip or a bone. He was a bit shaky in the knees but assured us all he would be fine. I guess I was just delighted to see that people still care. That they aren't so wrapped up in their own lives to stop and dust someone off.
