Yay, started yet another new job this week. I get good vibes this time though; I get to hack around with little set-top boxes and networky stuff. Basically stuff I do anyway, yet now get paid more than I did in my last job to do. No surprise they couldn't convince me to stay!
Interesting fact I learnt today, seen as how quite a lot of the products this company makes go into hotel video-on-demand systems. Some might-as-well-be-all-of-it percentage of the revenue of these systems is from porno, which means, yes, dirty old men doing the five knuckle shuffle in some crappy hotel somewhere are indirectly paying my wages. I guess it was inevitable.
And why has my livejournal gone pink? I didn't ask it to. It was blue, and... oh yeah, st. give us yer money day for a crappy meal at a higher than average price. Therefore I've instigated un-valentines day with Miss Gayle this year. Amazingly, this new day requires no buying of gifts, cards or other tat. Although I think she did appreciate her anatomically correct hand-made card complete with left and right ventricles. Cunning I feel, as she was working nights all week and I couldn't be arsed :)
